Heavy hearts and high hopes

It is with mixed emotions I announce the end of an era sad for me and happy for her . . . Katie is leaving abode.  She has been with us for 6 years and we have literally grown up with her!  She is opening a new chapter in life - she is full speed ahead to become a crime scene investigator ("Whoooooo are you? do do do do).  She is studying a rigorous scientific curriculum and will be heads down for the next couple of years.  I'll miss her like crazy and I know I am all the better for having her in my life.

Stupor of thought

I'm dumb.  Not dumb as in stupid but dumb as in I suddenly can't think of a thing to say.  Not that we don't have the cutest stuff right now, not that nothing is happening, (we are crackling with activity).  I'm blocked, stumped, gagged, silent.

I know I'll recover, I always do, but for now please forgive my silence.

A little dress rehearsal for the 7/21 flea 4 all . . .we'll be at flea.o.logy  218 N. Main St.in 
Payson.  This is my first time there but it is a fabulous flea and as usual abode will be bringing our best!  

The shop will he open and hopping in the usual fashion so north or south - we have you covered!

The beloved and I will be celebrating our 4th anniversary of wedded bliss (ha!) by having a booth at the Gardner Village Farmers Market!  We'll have the goods . . . a fresh batch of marquee letters, wooden letterpress, register flags, typewriter keys and other oddities curated especially for the market.  The shop will be open as usual so come to the market and see us, or shop at abode and mention the break in special for 20% off one item.


We'll leave the back door open for ya, (wink)

It's a good news bad news story

"The front door is smashed and the back door is open", not exactly the words you look forward to hearing at the start of abode's day!

Someone who reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaally likes quarters and rhinestones paid us a visit over night (kind of sounds like an old-timey burlesque dancer - doesn't it?)

The abode girls are hearty souls and we have some great friends - our door is fixed, the show goes on AND we're having a 20% off one item sale - we're calling it the "Break in special".  Just mention that you saw it here or on Facebook and faster than a cat burglar we'll give you 20% off!

And next time - if you're going to rob us - at least shut the back door (LOL)

Long, long ago at an abode far, far away (translate:  last month at abode), a flea was commenced - a flea 4 all, and what a flea it was!  Tomorrow promises to be even more fun - don't miss it.

My nephew, Adam is earning money to go to Japan and his two grandmas are baking up a storm.  Take a look at me and you'll know exactly what kind of cook my mom is and his other grandma is every bit her equal.
