bangle jingle

my friend's mother wore many silver bangles and bracelets layered gracefully on her wrist.  one night under the stars we talked about growing up and she shared a memory of coming home late from a date or work and stopping at her parents bedroom door and hearing her mother's jewelry jingle comfortingly in the dark and she slept.

I've never forgotten that image.
