I've got some 'splainin' to do!

A lovely friend of mine was invited to a Lucy party.  What is a Lucy party, you might ask?  In honor of Lucille Ball's August 6th birthday, dress like the 50s and party like its 1999!  

Several of these lovely outfits are from Abode Vintage's clothing collection and will be available for sale so come in and throw your very own Lucy party, elbow gloves and all!

One of the many reasons I love abode is the people I meet.  They are interesting, creative and inspiring. Alyana is no exception!  She loves all things vintage and even designed her wedding dress to reflect that sensibility.  The hat, the shoes, the parasol, the stance . . . let the picture speak for itself.

abode is madly gathering treasures for the event and providing some decor as well!  Their theme this year is "funky circus" couldn't be a more perfect match for the fun-house vibe of abode!  I'll sneak down and snap some shots so you can see how well things turned out!
