The only way to keep within your holiday budget is to Shop LOCAL. At Adode I recently came in and complimented Steffie on how cute her merchandising arrangements are! I was able to see, as well as reach, to see items I was interested in. I love the kitchenalia section in the back...she may have shifted it all around by now, who knows? I usually come away with a little kitchen bowl, plate, or vintage cook bowl, or set of salt and paper shakers! Thanks to abode for keeping it simple to shop vintage, and to re-use, re-cycle, and live "green" in an every increasingly commercial society!
i don't know how to grab the "badge"!
There are so many stores that I love to shop LOCAL at. I live in Utah County but when I decide to head up North I always stop at two of my favorite local shops. One is Abode and the other Second Hand Chic. They are very close to each other and full of second-hand treasures. My 12 year old daughter begs to go to Abode because she has a thing for vintage clothes and shoes. I also always find tons of inspiration for the crowns and party hats I make. There is always some vintage doo-dad to pick up there. I love Second Hand Chic, because everyday vintage items grouped together by color make the store so pretty and magical. Thanks to both of these stores for making shopping so much fun!
