Holy cannoli
Now that I have your attention I can barely contain myself - and if I keep this up nothing will be able to contain me either!
I'm a sucker for great chocolate. Not good chocolate, not passable (think grocery store aisle fare) chocolate, but GREAT innovative concoctions.
In my quest for the local, secondhand and handmade this year I found Daniel's Fine Chocolates 4699 S Holladay Blvd. They are a family run venture in the former location of Nest and they are definitely worth the trip (stocking stuffers anyone?). They have things I have never seen before like gummy flowers and butterflies and chocolate dipped Gran Marnier dark chocolate pecans - OK stop it or I won't be able to sleep tonight.
worth the trip? yay, verily

Love Linda
Love Linda's style
Love that Linda shops local and is entered in a big, big way in our shop local challenge!
Here is what she said:
"The only way to keep within your holiday budget is to Shop LOCAL. At Adode I recently came in and complimented Steffie on how cute her merchandising arrangements are! I was able to see, as well as reach, to see items I was interested in. I love the kitchenalia section in the back...she may have shifted it all around by now, who knows? I usually come away with a little kitchen bowl, plate, or vintage cook bowl, or set of salt and paper shakers! Thanks to abode for keeping it simple to shop vintage, and to re-use, re-cycle, and live "green" in an every increasingly commercial society!
Any number of cookbooks on my metal kitchen cupboard came from Sugar House's Abode. They seem to have a never-ending supply of 1920s through 1960s cookbooks that are entertaining, and frankly, some of the recipes are pretty weird! See for yourself..like canned white asparagus spears in tomato aspic topped with Miracle Whip Dressing. Uh huh!"
Revel in Linda's fabulous finds here
Thanks Linda!
